Unlicensed visitors are allowed to try shooting by filling out a P650 Decleration, cost is $20. They must be accompanied by a licence shooter. The club has several firearms that are available and  Range Officers to supervise and instruct an unaccompanied participant. However you will need to make prior arrangements to ensure the firearms are brought to the  range as nothing is stored on site and there will be a Range Officer free to supervisor and instruct.

What is a P650 Declaration form?

A P650 Declaration - Person shooting on an Approved Range or undertaking a Firearms Safety Training Course is the form which must be completed prior to an unlicensed person shooting on a range or undertaking firearms safety training - section 6B of the Firearms Act 1996. The form asks a series of questions required by legislation - clause 129 of the Firearms Regulation 2017.

If a person wishes to participate in both activities as prescribed by section 6B (1)(a) and section 6B (1)(b) of the Firearms Act 1996, then two (2) declarations are required to be completed.

Minors must be 12 years or older and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
